Job Title: Seasonal Farm Labourer

Position June-September 2024

Farm and Estate Work

• Thistle spraying
• Foraging
• Hay making
• Chainsaw work - logs and trees
• Harrowing, overseeding, slitting, etc.
• Carting Straw
• General estate maintenance including fencing

Harvest

• Establishing cover crops and AHL2
• Preparation of grain stores
• Machinery maintenance
• Grain store operation with barley, wheat, rye, spring barley, and spring oats
• Spraying field margins
• Soil sampling

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

• Full Clean UK driving license
• ]PA1, 2, 6 qualifications
• Rough Terrain Telehandler license
• Proven telehandler and tractor operating experience
• Fast learner
• Adaptable
• Team player
• Ability to work under own initiative

Desirable Skills:

• Chainsaw maintenance and cross-cutting experience
• Willingness to work long hours, as required
• Side by side UTV certificate
• Fencing experience
• Grain store operation experience
