Counter Service

French boutique bakery & cafe Maman in Soho is seeking a special experienced individual for counter help. In addition to the regular duties of counter help/bakery clerk, we are looking for an exceptional employee to help with weekly ordering, training of new employees and help maintain high cleanliness standards. Candidates should be passionate and dedicated to outstanding customer service by creating a welcoming atmosphere for all with the aim of retaining and attracting new customers. We are looking for someone with counter & sales, fulfilling customer orders, experience making coffee, latte, espresso, macchiato, etc. and having an interest in pastry & cooking is a major plus. Must be a personable & team player with a desire to learn & grow within our expanding company.

Tasks
- Ensures that fellow staff & all customers are educated on our products and services
- Maintains the highest quality, consistent product standards.
- Follows all company, food & drink recipes and procedures
- Attends monthly barista training courses at local roaster and re trains internal part time staff
- Proficiently prepares food orders, blended and cold drinks provided by the store

NYC Food Handler's Certificate is an asset.
General knowledge of register/point of sale systems
