If you are an aspiring Event Planner or Event Manager who wants to gain experience and build your professional network, keep reading!

We are offering an opportunity to learn high-level event management and event planning through a work exchange program. Through this program, you will be exposed to opportunities that lead to paid event management gigs as an independent contractor. This means having the ability to choose where and how you want to work. You’ll have opportunities to create and execute your own events build a professional contact list and solidify professional relationships, while taking advantage of all the available resources that will help you achieve success.

Details: 16 week commitment: 20 hours per week minimum (flexible hours)

You will act as an Apprentice to the Program Designer who has over 7 years of experience planning and managing events. This is an opportunity to act as an independent worker, while having mentorship in all areas of Event Management & Planning.

Requirements:
Must love people. You will be spending a lot of time with all kinds of them.
Be organized. Time management is your strong point. Your best friend is your to-do list. Organizing your closet is fun.
Be flexible. Working nights and weekends with no regular routine is your routine.
Follow Murphy’s Law. Plan for the worst. Settle for nothing but the best.
Make people happy. You genuinely enjoy making people smile. Especially the people who make you want to cry. If someone is angry, you know how to calm them down without taking offense to their offensiveness.
Never let them see you sweat. If you don’t always have the answer, you can find one without visibly freaking out. You can handle a lot of responsibility in a short amount of time.
