Kitchen Captain


Description
As a kitchen captain you will be an ambassador of sweetgreen's food ethos – healthy, delicious and transparent. You will be responsible for interacting with our back of house team, leading them through daily prep and cultivating authentic food and relationships. You will report to the Head Coach (General Manager) and Assistant Head Coach (Assistant General Manager), but will be empowered to make your own decisions that create the best overall experience for our team and guests.

Duties:
•Acting as the vital communicator between back and front of house team to facilitate win, win, win situations for the customer, company, and community
•Makes an impact on your team by coaching standards and acting as a role model for the culinary process
•Keeps it real by ensuring that every product entering and leaving sweetgreen has met the food ethos standard
•Thinks sustainably about the business by managing proper prep quantities and overseeing waste
•Adding the sweet touch by forecasting needs and delivery products to the front line earlier than the rush

•A self-starter: relays store needs and communicates with Team Captain
•A thoughtful leader: balances delegation and working side-by-side with team
•Customer service oriented: Passion for the guest experience and food ethos
•Takes ownership: works hard and desires growth
