Must be willing and able to:
• Arrange and set up beverages, beverage mixers and supplies in an efficient and professional manner according to standing operating procedure.
• Complete all sidework as assigned in a timely manner.
• Prepare ingredients needed for recipes of mixed beverages.
• Use equipment as prescribed in preparation of beverages.
• Prepare beverages according to prescribed recipes including alcohol content.
• Use proper method according to standing operating procedure to ensure exact alcohol pour measures.
• Count and be responsible for cash drawer.
• Operate all functions of bar service alone and without assistance if necessary.
• Take and fill food orders from guests seated at the bar utilizing available communication equipment including computer register system.
• Communicate cordially, clearly and effectively with co-workers.
• Present and encourage current promotional information and materials to guests.
• Communicate with guests in a friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
• Operate all functions of barback service alone and without assistance if necessary.
• Accurately account for all guest checks issued.
• Accurately record and account for all items served to guests and other employees.
• Secure manager’s approval and signature for any complimentary or voided item.
• Notify guest of any automatic gratuity or charge
• Accurately accept payment from guests.
• Accurately account for and balance all sales and receipts.
• Accurately tender change for guests, servers, and cocktail servers.
• Account for and maintain security of bar and storage inventories.
• Perform calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Perform more than one task at a time.
• Relate to guests pleasantly and with good humor.
• Perform varied duties to ensure all aspects of bar service according to standing operating procedure.
