Cafe Manager

Candle Cafe East is seeking a motivated and passionate hourly Manager to join our team!

We are looking for a highly motivated career-focused individual that shares our mission and our passion for vegan food, outstanding hospitality, and sustainable living. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years experience in a high volume, full service restaurant as an assistant manager, floor manager, head server, or captain.

The ideal candidate has restaurant management experience, catering experience, and administrative skills. You must excel at working at a very busy restaurant, as this positions entail a lot of multi-tasking. Knowledge of vegetarianism/veganism a plus. Interest in health, the environment and sustainability also a plus. Must be motivated, organized, and a self starter willing to learn and grow in a very fast paced environment. Excellent work environment. This is an hourly part-time position with room for growth.

Candidate must possess the following attributes:
*Impeccable attention to detail and follow through
*Outstanding leadership skills
*Knowledge of vegan and organic cuisine
*Strong organizational and administrative skills
*Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and POS systems
*Energetic, warm, personable and enthusiastic demeanor
*Have a Certificate in Food Protection or willing to obtain one

Responsibilities will include:
*Maintain an impeccably organized and clean restaurant
*Manage team member performance with clear feedback, recognition, reviews, coaching/teaching and discipline
*Administrative duties, including handling cash drops, financial reporting, daily shift reporting, scanning/archiving, etc.
*Assisting with inventory
