Description
Downtown Los Angeles Proper Hotel is seeking candidates for Chief Engineer. This historic 148-room renovated project with two restaurants and one rooftop bar is scheduled to open in early 2019 and will be the next exciting addition to the Proper Brand.

The Chief Engineer is responsible for maintaining the building and property grounds with a focus on safety, security and asset protection. Works to establish a safe and secure environment for all guests and colleagues. Develops and implements a preventative maintenance plan for the property and equipment. Accountable for managing the budget and capital expenditure projects. Anticipates the needs of guests and employees while maximizing the financial performance. Responsible for maintaining standards and meeting regulatory requirements. Leads the emergency response team for all facility issues. The Chief Engineer will report directly to the General Manager.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
