Restaurant Sales & Marketing Manager

Description

Sales & Marketing Manager – Hawksmoor Chicago

Chicago is the historical powerhouse of American beef, and when Hawksmoor found out about an actual powerhouse building, it felt like fate. So, after years of dreaming, we've set out eyes on coming to Chicago. And we've found ourselves a home we cannot wait to settle into.

The LaSalle Street Cable Car Powerhouse is a beautiful, designated landmark, initially opened in 1887, in the heyday of Chicago’s cable car system. We intend to do it justice by restoring the original features to their former glory and, at the same time, breathe new life into the space.

Reporting to the Restaurant Director, we're looking for a brand-new Sales & Marketing Manager to be based in Chicago to drive all things marketing & guest relations for Chicago.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Creating and being responsible for the pre-opening sales program, launch activity and after launch momentum needed to ensure a successful launch with fully booked private dining rooms and restaurant at launch and for months/years to come
  • Promoting Hawksmoor to the discerning diners, e.g. producing a Hawksmoor Private Dining sales pack which will work as a specific communications tool for all types of bookers – from the concierge to the personal assistant and core business events booker
  • Reporting weekly to the US Marketing Director on progress, systems, database, communications and KPIs.
  • Creating and owning the sales database with customized communications sent our regularly to these audiences
  • Embedding the Hawksmoor Steak House brand and ethics into the dining scene, with the ambition to establish this new steak house as a respected long-term cornerstone of Chicago culture.
  • Curating regular creative and commercial events, press tastings, private dining experiences, showcases for key bookers/concierge and Pas to drive new footfall, reservations and PDR bookings.
  • Identify and own the customer relationships through quietly confident marketing campaigns, targeting corporates, discerning steak diners, domestic and international tourists, media and Chicago food critics, families, brunchers and contemporary steak lover

  • Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire team members to meet and exceed standards
  • Able to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of the business
