Outside Services Attendant

DO YOU LOVE GOLF COURSES? We are looking for a full time Outside Services Attendant (OSA) to provide members and guests with excellent service in all areas of golf operations. OSAs cross train to staff the bag room and cart barn and, depending on their assignment, either maintain Club’s fleet of golf carts or deliver and pick up Member and Guest golf bags to and from requested areas. They are responsible for providing fully detailed, safe carts, with working GPS systems, stocked with all regular supplies. They clean clubs for Members and Guests, research for any lost items and communicate charges for accurate billing. They assist with tournament procedures, and maintain and sanitize snack stations throughout golf operations. Hillcrest is extremely proud of its reputation for having the best maintained golf course in Los Angeles, and the OSAs ensure that reputation extends to the carts, the cart barn in which they are stored, the bag room and clubs stored there. The OSAs maintain the cart barn and the bag room in a safe and organized condition, adhering to all club safety policies and procedures. True team players, the OSAs recognize the importance of their role, view no task as insignificant and take pride in providing outstanding service and contributing to the success of their team and the Club as a whole.

 Daily set-up of practice range and pitch and putt to insure the best possible use of the turf grass, including the maintenance of all equipment, range ball inventory.
 Deliver and pick up golf bags from requested areas. Research for lost items like head covers as needed.
 Clean clubs for members and guests and check for cleanliness before delivering to practice area in order to maintain the Club’s high standards.
 Retrieve practice range balls from designated areas including the 10th and 11th fairways and flower beds by 18th green.
 Maintain adequate levels of all operating supplies for the Outside Operations, including towels, scorecards, divot tools, ball markers, pencils, tees, divot sand bottles, and any other related materials required within the guidelines of the service levels and operating budget.
 Assist with tournament procedures, putting out golf bags by hole and staging golf carts by tee off to maintain order.
 Communicate all golf bag add and delete charges for accurate billing.
 Maintain and sanitize ice and fruit stations throughout golf operations, keeping stock levels to par with cups, tops, straws, and replenishing fruit and other snacks.
 Assist members and guests with retrieval of golf carts from practice facilities and monitor GPS system for accurate working order.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:
 Must have at least one year prior work experience, golf course experience preferred.
 Energetic and enthusiastic personality essential
 Must be able to communicate effectively in English with Team Members, Members and guests.
 Must possess a service orientation – actively looking for ways to help others
 must regularly lift and move up to 65 POUNDS
 Will be required to be available for work on all major holidays
 Exceptional grooming habits, maintaining a clean and complete uniform as designated by Management
 Punctual and reliable
Preferred:
 At least one year prior work experience, golf course experience
 High School Diploma

Sitting, standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, twisting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, grasping: stand for long periods of time, sometimes outdoors; exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions (hot and cold) and moderate to loud noise level when air compressor is on; frequently required to stoop, bend, crouch and squat climb, kneel, in and out of golf carts, and to twist at the neck and waist, reach above and below shoulder level, push and pull when retrieving, storing and moving golf bags; use dominant hand and fingers to feel and grasp, push and pull (simple and power) and for fine manipulation to detail carts, clean clubs and use a two-way radio.
