Maintenance Assistant

We are recruiting for a passionate and confident Maintenance Assistant to carry out domestic, industrial and commercial repairs of the entire complex as directed by the Chief Engineer.

Key responsibilities of the Maintenance Assistant will include:
• Perform all types of painting and decorating to hotel standards.
• Preventative maintenance of all common areas.
• Repair equipment, fixtures and fittings according to ability and qualifications.
• Responsible for all tools, materials and miscellaneous used in connection with main duties.
• Clean, treat, and maintain pool and spa, keep updated records of the water test.
• Respond to all written maintenance requests, radio and telephone requests.

The ideal candidate for the Maintenance Assistant position should:
• Possess relevant qualifications and technical or vocational training
• Have previous experience in a similar role in the luxury hotel environment
• Knowledge of electrical repairing, carpentry work, plumbing and painting
• Have excellent communication skills
• Have an enthusiastic and positive attitude
