Founded by childhood best friends, Daniel Holzman and Michael Chernow, The Meatball Shop opened our first location on The Lower Side in 2010 and quickly expanded throughout NYC. The Meatball Shop is an employee first culture that promotes creativity and individuality within our communities. We believe in serving simple, sustainable and delicious food.
The Meatball Shop is thrilled to announce that we are opening our first location outside of NYC this summer! We are looking for motivated leaders and critical thinkers, ready for the challenge of making our DC opening a huge success. We are a growth focused, team-oriented company seeking like-minded individuals.
We are a hands-on team that trains our “ballers” in every aspect of food, service and culture. You’re not afraid to get your hands dirty and jump in wherever is needed, but most importantly you’re rock star, and confident at leading a team!
Our ideal candidate will be a proven leader who is also not afraid of ball jokes!
General Functions
· Comfort standing for long periods of time
· Working individually and as part of a team to ensure quality of food, drink and service
· Ability to problem solve and analyze key performance indicators
· Maintain a close attention to detail
· Well honed organizational skills
· A high level of passion for delicious food and drink
· The ability to constantly train and retrain our ballers
· Interviewing, Scheduling and training
· Coaching and Motivation – Consistently coach and motivate the team every shift through praise and counseling to ensure a high level of interaction and execution of TMS standards.
· Hospitality - Constant guest focus and follow-up doing whatever it takes, to ensure that 100% of our guests are enjoying their experience and satisfied
· Maintain a high level of energy
· Act as an outstanding citizen in our community and support our culture of being involved in our community.
· Maintain a high level understanding of finance and how to control areas of labor, food cost, beverage cost, operating expenses and maintenance.
· Facilities Management
