Description
As one of the UK’s largest management pub and restaurant companies with successful brand names such as, Miller & Carter, All Bar One, Toby Carvery and many more, Mitchell’s & Butlers has a fantastic opportunity for a Regional Security Manager to join our Security and Licensing Team on a permanent contract. The Security Manager will be primarily based in the South, covering within the M25, M4 corridor and the South West.

As a Security Manager, you will provide a proactive and reactive support to the business by being on call out of normal working hours, this can include weekend working and responding to serious incidents accordingly, completing investigations and writing and distributing the necessary serious incident reports in a timely manner whilst making recommendations to improve procedures for the future and to encourage and develop a high level of security management across the business.

The responsibilities of the Security Manager is varied and challenging, and includes the following:

- To respond quickly to serious incidents completing an investigation and producing detailed and accurate reports listing recommendations as necessary
- To be available out of hours to support operations in the event of a serious incident and when necessary provide an immediate response
- To investigate any serious allegations or complaints, producing the necessary written reports and communicating with those involved
- To attend interviews in accordance with the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984
- To attend court and give evidence on behalf of the company
- To advise Retail Business Managers on company best practise for security and supply them with the necessary supporting information
- To attend business review meetings with equipment suppliers approving the specification and design of security equipment as necessary
- To be responsible for the management and regular review of company approved door suppliers and to assist Retail Business Managers with any door security requirements
- To complete agreed projects, working to strict deadlines
- To take part in crime prevention initiative whilst developing good working relationships with police and local authorities
- To attend crisis management training and be confident in providing the necessary support to the business in the event of a company emergency

Job Requirements:
- Proven experience & knowledge of security practices and other related regulatory issues
- Obtaining an SIA Door Supervisor Licence issued under the Private Security Industry Act 2001 highly desirable
- BTEC level 3 Qualification in Security Management and a Group Training Techniques Certificate preferable
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present at all levels
- To work discreetly, proactively and objectively on sensitive and sometimes traumatic situations
- Self-motivated and works well under pressure
- Requirement for a flexible approach as extensive travel, some unsociable hours and weekend work is necessary
- Demonstrate high level of integrity and ability to provide leadership to all levels of the business
- Strong IT skills
- Full clean UK driving license
