Position Overview

Montcalm Collection are looking for a skilled and ambitious Assistant Reservations Manager to join our team in Montcalm Collection.

In the role you will be able to help to shape the Montcalm Collection’s next chapter and showcase your skills, become a trusted ambassador achieving the service and product delivery standards for the company with a high degree of customer care and service.

You will assist the Reservations Manager to motivate and drive the Reservations Team to perform to its best capability, exceeding hotel financial targets, ensuring a great sense of achievement and pride.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of the hotels facilities including Rooms and Group Reservations
  • Lead team leaders to develop business strategies and governance management.
  • Identifies new reservations sales business to achieve personal and property revenue goals.
  • Understands the overall market, including competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them
  • To ensure task check lists are actioned and completed and reviewed on daily basis
  • To establish strong relationships and collaborate across with the other departments
  • To drive the team to achieve individual and collective goals
  • To demonstrate an in depth knowledge and understanding of Hotel systems to include and not limited to Opera ORS, Opera PMS, CRM Marsha, etc.
  • Supervise the Reservations Team and ensuring Team Members are developed effectively and generate a culture of high-quality standards for relationship building, customer service, selling techniques and billing.
  • Act as an Ambassador of the brand when dealing with internal and external customers.
  • To ensure all incoming enquiries are dealt with promptly and professionally.
  • Responsible for checking all individual and group bookings and collaborating with appropriate hotels / departments as required
  • Be aware of any new sales and promotions within the brand.
  • Deal with overbooking situations well before the arrival date.
  • Complete required reports on regular basis on timely manner.

Essential skills required:

  • Good Communication skills
  • Friendly and Approachable
  • Knowledge of Opera
  • Previous experience working in reservations in a hotel is highly desirable
  • Working with Groups
