Bookkeeper Job Description
Seeking a detail-oriented, organized, diligent, self-starter and thorough bookkeeper for our expanding team. You will play a key role in managing the day to day finances of our business, including creating financial transactions and generating relevant reports. You will also collaborate/partner and communicate with employees (in the US and Denmark) and vendors to ensure accuracy of all financial transactions.
Bookkeeper Duties and Responsibilities
Perform general bookkeeping duties, including posting information to accounting software and regularly reconciling information.
Pay supplier/vendor invoices as they come due for payment, including other necessary bills.
Obtain necessary tax forms from/for new vendors.
Perform reconciliations of bank accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
Process company payroll.
Maintain an organized and streamlined accounting system.
Provide administrative support to management when required.
Adhoc duties as assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
6-8 years of total experience
Bookkeeping experience in the restaurant and/or hospitality field (STRONGLY DESIRED)
Knowledge of accounting principles
Works well independently and quick learner
Experience with invoices, general ledgers and submittals
Assists with business development matters
Payroll and timekeeping experience
Experience working with large teams
Possesses the ability to teach and train (when needed)
Minimum of an Associate Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or relevant field (total years of experience will be taken into account if there is no degree)
Strong computer skills
Sharp attention to detail and ability to keep records and files organized.
Strong time management with respect for deadlines.
Ability to identify errors and solve problems.
Decisive and a critical thinker.
