Description
Bar SixtyFive at Rainbow Room, the highest outdoor terrace bar in New York City welcomes its guests 65 stories above the iconic Rockefeller Center. Bar SixtyFive offers playful bistro fare and a bespoke cocktail menu curated by top mixologists in an upscale hidden gem framed by awe-inspiring cityscapes.

Since opening one year after the end of Prohibition, in 1934, the Rainbow Room has significantly influenced American cocktail culture. Bar SixtyFive invites you to toast a rich history with the Classic list, our homage to past favorites; and the Contemporary list, a celebration of our history and a nod to our future.

We are in search of a Manager for Bar SixtyFive to complement our management team.

Role Description
Manager, Bar SixtyFive will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations to ensure that our guests receive the highest level of customer service and support the team in the effort. This role will report to the Associate Director, Bar SixtyFive. He/she will have at least three years of experience working in an upscale restaurant or bar environment.

Responsibilities
• Proficiently and effectively assist in overseeing the operation of Bar SixtyFive and manage the associates to ensure optimal guest service delivery and satisfaction.
• Manage opening and closing process and procedures.
• Identify areas of potential opportunity and assist in implementing solutions.
• Proactively strives to build positive working relationships through teamwork, performance management, training and clear communication.
• Knowledge of inventory controls and food/labor costs.

Requirements
• Three years of experience working in an upscale food and beverage environment.
• Must be self-motivated, display high energy and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Fully versed in upscale service standards.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team as well as be a team player.
• Availability to work flexible schedule including: days, late nights, weekends and holidays.
